The Star Wars Toys exhibition is being held until 17th March 2013 at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. If you are intending to visit this event, the Hotel Herse d’Or located in the 4th arrondissement is the perfect place to stay.
Star Wars Toys exhibition, a look back at a planet-wide success
Luke Skywalker, Dark Vador, R2D2, a whole host of characters ready to transport you to an extraordinary universe, that of the mythical Star Wars films, masterpieces of modern science-fiction, the first of which was released in 1977. Successful the world over, the Star Wars trilogy fired the imagination of a whole generation which is still as obsessed as ever by lightsabres and the epic intergalactic battles of X-Wing fighters.
The exhibition looks back at these successes through a selection of more than four hundred original toys. Parents will delight in rediscovering toys from their childhood, while children will marvel at the exclusive ranges on display, some of which were limited editions or were never sold in France.
Displaying articulated figures and all types of spaceships, the exhibition transports the visitor to some of the most famous scenes of the Star Wars trilogies, from the Tatooine desert planet to the glacial Hoth to the forest moon of Endor, the site of the final battle between the Empire of Dark Vador and the Rebel Alliance led by Luke Skywalker.
