If you enjoy live concerts you should certainly check out what’s on offer at the Bercy Arena, a little way along the Right Bank of the Seine from the Hotel de la Herse d'Or. This fabulous state of the art venue hosts the biggest French and international stars and the autumn programme is a hugely compelling one, presenting a wide, varied and supremely high quality choice.
One of the finest live music venues in Paris
Opened in 1984 and originally known as the Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy, the Bercy Arena is a stunning building, shaped as a truncated pyramid with walls of sloping lawn. The venue features a wide range of events, including many sports tournaments, and performances from a host of French and international stars. Madonna, Iron Maiden, Celine Dion, Bruce Springsteen and Christina Aguilera are some of the big names who have given acclaimed shows here. Additionally, several well-received live albums have been recorded at the Bercy, including Lionel Richie’s Live In Paris.
Scheduled for the month of November are a number of eagerly anticipated shows from a stellar lineup of performers. Pop princess Kylie Minogue takes the stage on November 15th, to be followed by nu-metal pioneers Linkin Park the following evening. The Belgian singer/songwriter Stromae is featured on November 17th and the 27th to the 30th. The legendary Elton John appears on the 19th and the French experimental rock band Shaka Ponk on the 20th. The King of Latin Pop Enrique Iglesias plays on the 21st and the genre straddling Lenny Kravitz graces the stage on the 23rd. The 24th of the month brings the astonishing Lady Gaga to the Bercy. With such a selection, there’s bound to be a show for you.
