Paris sporting events 2014 bring some of the world's greatest sportsmen and women to the French capital for the French Open, the Paris Marathon and of course, the great Tour de France, and all of these events are easily accessible from Hotel de la Herse d'Or, in the heart of the magical Marais district.
Paris sporting events 2014 offer unforgettable excitement
With the Six Nations rugby tournament reaching a climax at the Stade de France on March 15, the city now looks forward to the Paris Marathon on April 6. It's one of the oldest city marathons in the world, with a history dating back to 1896. At Hotel de la Herse d'Or we love this event, and highly recommend a visit to watch some 50,000 runners take to the historic course, starting on the Champs-Elysées and taking in some of the city's finest landmarks.
The world of tennis has Paris as its focus from May 25 to June 8 for the French Open at Roland Garros, the only Grand Slam tournament to be played on clay. Online public booking for tickets has just opened - and this is a great opportunity to see the finest players in action.
Here in France, the Tour de France is something of a national obsession, as the world's finest cyclists race around the country. Everywhere they go, life comes to a standstill. The highlight of it all, on 28 July, is the finish on the Champs-Elysées, where the winner is acclaimed by thousands of people. It's an unforgettable experience, and another sporting highlight that all of us at Hotel de la Herse d'Or heartily recommend to you.
Hotel de la Herse d'Or is your ideal base for Paris sporting events 2014
We'll be delighted to help you plan your visit to experience these events and many more here in Paris - and we look forward to extending a warm welcome to you.
